Solarmeter Model 5.0 Standard Total UV (A+B) Meter

The handheld Model 5.0 measures UVA and UVB using an integrated semiconductor UV sensor. Applications include monitoring UV lamp intensity and aging; measuring outdoor UV; testing acrylic shield transmission; monitoring PUVA therapy lamp intensity and aging; testing window film and tint transmission; and testing eyewear UV blocking capabilities. The meter’s sensor features a GaAsP photodiode chip that is completely insensitive to visible light longer than 400 nm and infrared radiation because its spectral response only covers the UV range from 280 to 400 nm. Single-button operation makes obtaining readings fast and easy. NIST Traceable accuracy.
