Best tool you could take into the woods, bar none. Craftsman ship is great, Gransfors Bruk never disappoints.

This is a great all-purpose axe for someone managing woodlands. Feels great in the hand, well weighted, keeps its edge.

This is a nicely made axe that fits into a niche category. I love the weight and the overall craftsmanship, and I particularly like the collar guard. If you're looking for the lightest possible axe, this is it. There are a few caveats. Of course, the axe comes razor sharp - so much so that while oiling it I didn't realize I was bleeding until I saw blood spots on the head. That's great, but combine that with the fact that an axe this light works mostly on velocity rather than head weight, and you have a combination where you really need to know what you're doing to use it safely. This is a great axe for utility work and limbing, very limited splitting of small wood. I'd recommend it for someone who needs the utility and is packing it a long way. For any situation where weight isn't your first and foremost concern, a larger axe will be more functional and maybe even a bit safer.
