are the foot part of the boot snake proof also ?
Yes, the boots are snake proof as well.

I feel much safer working in wetlands with these. The USDA critter control people told me about them. They are cooler and more comfortable than rubber hip boots. You can choose your lower for a nice snug fit when the mud wants to suck your shoes off. Very comfortable to walk hours in.

Awesome hip boots. Wear them fishing and on the farm putting in and pulling rice spills never had a leak or tear. Like mentioned above the only problem I've had with these are the sole of the boot coming off but it took 3 years for that to happen.

I originally got these hip boots/snake chaps in the summer of 2011 and used them to wade through the wetlands and swamp plots of the southeast. The last three years have been a little harder on them because I now keep them in the truck all the time and they go through some heat spells, which has caused the soles of the boots to come off. I've glued them back on a few times and these hip boots still don't disappoint. I've never had a leak issue with them, even with the soles falling off. I've had these for 10 years now and I wouldn't be replacing them if the soles would stay on, but what can you expect after what they've been put through. Excellent for going through briars and water!
