Decent paint gun. Does have a tendency to clog if paint is not extremely well mixed, think consistency of a runny milkshake. Have had problems with guns leaking after continued use even with diligent maintenance. Always keep a rebuild kit on hand in the event someone fails to clean it properly after the last use.

For decades, I wondered why couldn't somebody design a gun that does not need a nozzle change every 5 minutes, have many tiny parts that are easy to lose, suddenly stop squirting, and require frequent repairs? This Trecoder gun was the answer, and marking timber has actually become enjoyable. The handle is durable, sturdy, and comfortable. The screen prevents the nozzle from clogging, and can be tapped clean or, in rare instances, cleaned with an old toothbrush. I used to seek older cans with coalescing paint, which others were avoiding, because this gun was somehow handling it! I replaced the container gasket with a D-18 Sink Drain Washer so it stopped leaking on bumpy roads. The cylinder is inside the handle ABOVE the can, so fluid may gradually leak down the tube if idle for several months, which may seize it up UNLESS oil is shot through it prior to storage. Overhauling it, however, takes comparatively little time. I'll continue to reach for the Trecoder marking gun every time!

Best marking gun on the market, hands down.
