Eijkelkamp Standard Auger Set for Heterogeneous Soils

Designed for sampling up to 16 feet deep (5m) in a wide range of soil types, this auger set is ideal for soil profile description and classification; soil sampling above and below groundwater table in cohesive soils; archaeological soil research; and environmental soil research. High-grade steel augers can be used in soils ranging from soft sands to clay. For sampling below the water table or in soft sediment materials, a unique piston-style vacuum sampler is included for taking undisturbed samples. Simple bayonet connections and extensions make exchanging equipment simple and efficient. Augers are 7 cm (2-3/4") dia.; piston sampler has a 4 cm (1-1/2") dia. Set contains: various types of soil augers to reach groundwater level, augers for extraction of less-disturbed soil samples, extension rods, augering handle, pull/push handle, piston sampler, gouge auger, sounding device with measuring tape, utility probe with cone spare parts, various accessories, and aluminum transport case.
