Have a question about this product?
- How long are the tines on this rake? How heavy? Would this be suitable for aquatic vegetation removal?
- The tines on this rake measure about 3 inches in length. The rake is light enough for regular field use, right around a couple of pounds, so it isn’t difficult to handle for longer periods. It’s built for general debris clearing, gravel work, and ground prep. While it can pull lighter floating vegetation, it isn’t designed as an aquatic vegetation rake and won’t grip or bite into heavier growth the way a dedicated lake or pond rake would.
Reviews
Best take on the market. The “cut nail” tines are pointy and thin but very strong. Other rakes have rounded tip tines and are exhausting because one needs to exert more down pressure. I prep soil for seed, these are magnificent.
Works great, but the handle is weak and tines are prone to break.
Our crew uses these to smooth out the trail behind the excavator and the ditch witch. We own 4 of these rakes and they are the one the crew members prefer for trail finishing
