Council Forcible Entry 6 lb. Flathead Fire Axe with Marrying Slot, 32˝ Hickory Handle
Used in all manner of municipal fire fighting applications, these Forcible Entry Flathead fireman’s style single bit axes with American hickory handles help to reduce fatigue and injury. The cutting edge is approximately 5˝ in overall length and the poll is square. Featuring 4140 forged steel heads, a tapered wedge shaped blade, and an extended poll. The top of the head is flat to stand on its own, and the axe head is hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with a traditional wooden and steel wedges. Hand-sharpened, tapered bit for cutting.

Excellent for not only a fireman’s tool it great heavy duty axe for felling. Not bad for a wood splitter either but can stick more than the ole 7 pounder maule. Buying another so my wife can have her own or as a back-up
