CID Bio-Science Photosynthesis Analyzer, Model CI-340

This compact analyzer measures photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, stomatal conductance, PAR and internal CO2. Ideal for a variety of applications, the CI-340 can be used by ecologists to measure seasonal changes in photosynthetic rate as a response to temperature shifts, by agronomists to measure the water status of crop plants across related genotypes, and by horticulturalists to measure changes in leaf physiology as a result of drought stress. The photosynthetic rate is determined by measuring CO2 before and after it enters the leaf chamber to calculate the rate of CO2 assimilation by a known leaf area. Measurements of photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance, and internal CO2 are taken with only minimal sample degradation since the leaf chamber is connected directly to the CO2/H2O differential gas analyzer. This short distance between the analyzer and the leaf chamber decreases the possibility of leaks, water vapor change, or temperature change. The CI-340 can accommodate open or closed system measurements, and the unit is also designed to measure both absolute readings (gas concentrations from a single source) and differential readings (concentration of gases from both the inlet of the chamber and the chamber exhaust). The CI-340 automatically saves data files and features a memory capacity of 4 megabytes. Easily transfer data to your personal computer or laptop via USB connector.
