Purchased three of these hypsometers with the expectation that they would be of similar quality of other TruePulse products. They were not, so all three were returned. Moisture makes this model inoperable, frankly not worth the purchase.
This device works well until it is met with any amount of moisture. For a device meant to be used outdoors it has absolutely no protection from the elements. Rainy days will ruin the 200L. I am on the hunt for a case to use, if one is not yet available it should be made!!
The laser works great. The features are great, and I have seen better accuracy with it during side-by-side comparisons with Nikon's similar priced model. A couple of small problems: The readout is pretty dark and can be hard to read under a thick canopy. Also, it doesn't shoot through the brush very well. Other lasers I have used can get through pretty small holes in the bushes, not this thing. You really need a clear line of sight. Overall I have been happy with it until the weather rolls in... LIGHT rain or even a hint of fog and this Laser becomes useless. Pretty much if the humidity is close to 100%, this Laser only read 15ft for all shots.
