Archaeological Leaf and Square, Large

Features long blades that angle away from the handle to move more soil and also provide leverage when removing wedged-in stones or dislodging thin roots. Dimensions: Ends, 1”W x 2-7/8”L x 1/16” Thick; Handle, 1/4” Diameter; Overall, 11”L.

These medium-sized archaeology tools fill the void between larger tools like trowels and smaller tools such as dental instruments. The tools are ideal for precise, detailed work even in tight spaces. Hand-forged from stainless steel, the tools feature leaf- and square-shaped ends with thin edges sharpened to 1/16”. The rustproof tools are lightweight and easy to grasp (¼”-diameter handles).

Small leaf and square: 8” long with short blades parallel to the handle. Ends: 11/16”W x 1-1/2”L.
Large leaf and square: 11” long with long blades that angle away from the handle. Ends: 1”W x 2-7/8”L.
