Description
Haglöf Forester DME 301 Instrument Only
Both the Haglöf DME 301 and DME 301+ use ultrasonic pulses to obtain distance readings, allowing you to walk 360° around the transponder and receive accurate measurements at the push of a button. Ideal for plot radius measurements, the DME is accurate through thick undergrowth and measures up to 60´/20m in feet/10ths or m/cm (using the 360° adapter), with an accuracy of ±1% under ideal conditions. A Reverse Prism function avoids issues, such as blocked views from plot center, and the BAF function lets you use the DME on a sample point. Set the BAF factor from 0.0 to 999.9, and the DME will calculate the minimum diameter of a tree to be included in your sample point. The DIST function alerts you when a predetermined distance limit is exceeded and is useful when inventorying circular sample plots where a fixed radius is applicable. The DME 301+ has the same features as the DME 301, but adds a new HDIST horizontal distance function which calculates the distance to the transponder using the measured angle. Both the angle and the horizontal distance are displayed on the screen. Cruising Kits include the DME instrument, a transponder, a monopod, and a 360° adapter (if ordering the transponder only, both 09710 and 09711 are required for 360° operation.)
