CID Bio-Science Portable Laser Leaf Area Meter
Model CI-202. Ideal for specialized research and studies into plant physiology.
Description
CID Bio-Science Portable Laser Leaf Area Meter, Model CI-202
Utilizing advanced laser technology, this meter provides a precise, convenient method to measure leaf area (or the areas of leaf-like objects). Simply slide the scanner over the leaf to obtain accurate, non-destructive measurements. The meter measures area, length, width, and perimeter and also calculates shape factor and aspect ratio. No calibration is needed. You can easily collect data from the same plant or the same leaf throughout a life span. Measurements of even tender leaves can be done by using a transparent sheath for protection, and curled leaves are flattened to ensure precise measurements. The self-contained instrument features a high-resolution laser scanner, built-in data logger, and LCD display. A USB port allows for data transfer to a printer or computer. Included are a palette-style scan board, laser scanner with built-in control unit, internal battery, battery charger, communication software, one additional transparent film, hard-shell instrument carrying case, and operating manual.
