CID Bio-Science SpectraVue Plant Stress Leaf Spectrometer
Model 710
Description
CID Bio-Science SpectraVue Plant Stress Leaf Spectrometer, Model 710
Highly portable for use in the field, this leaf spectrometer measures light absorbance, transmittance, and reflectance – all in a single scan. The system consists of a spectrometer paired with a leaf probe attachment, on-board operating software, and a display screen. Two broadband light sources are attached inside the device: one in the leaf clamp for transmissive measurements and another inside the case for reflective measurements. The spectrometer module takes the light from the leaf probe attachment and projects the wavelength-dispersed light onto a CCD array. The system’s operating software then displays the light intensity of each pixel of the CCD array. A valuable tool for agronomists, plant physiologists, ecologists, and educators, the device measures the effect that environmental variables have on nutrient and pigment quantification. SpectraVue can be used in quantifying chemical concentrations, color analysis, and in studying photochemical reactions. Raw spectrum can be used in chemometric techniques such as PLS modeling. The 360-1100 nm spectrometer delivers cutting-edge analytical range, and a full suite of on-board spectral analysis software and 40+ built-in indices allow for real-time insight into your data. Easily track measurement locations using built-in GPS tagging for traceable data collection over time. The full-color, 7˝ IPS touchscreen display makes it simple to perform on-board data management and analysis.
