Reviews
Used to use this product when I worked in the USFS in the Southwest. My impression is that the Nubian is best used for working conditions where bright sunlight is prevalent where reading the diameter tape numbers are impeded by bright sunlight. Chrome tapes are best when light conditions are low and shaded. Tree sap needs to be cleaned from tape as soon as possible because the sap will gum up the reeling mechanism and attract sand, which can rub the black finish off the tap. Inexperienced D-tape readers from time to time tend to read the 10ths of feet scale on the backside of the tape, so either the reader or recorder have to keep alert for strange readings. I have not had the Diameter tape break because it got kinked but did have steel chain tapes break due to kinks.
