CSI The Case of the Lost Skull
An animal skull has been found with money stuffed inside it and potential trace evidence in the area. This introductory forensic unit will show your students how to address the question of who put it there. Students will analyze fingerprint, blood, hair, imprint, and documentation evidence over the course of about five days. The kit has enough materials for 30 students and includes: 1 - Teacher's Manual (included on USB drive); 1 - Student Worksheet; 1 - Answer Key; 1 - Cross-Curricular Activity Sheet; 1 - Plaster Casting Mix; 1 - Cotton, Silk, Nylon, Wool and Polyester Fibers; 1 - Skull; 4 - Black Pens; 1 - Gerbil, Cat, Dog, Horse, and Rabbit Hair; 1 - Evidence Collection Bag; 5 - Evidence Collection Envelopes; 1 - Length Evidence Seal Tape; 1 - Pair Vinyl Gloves; 6 - Pipettes; 1 - Tweezers; 1 - Note; 1 - Long Cotton Swabs; 1 - Plastic Container with 12 slides, 12 cover slips and 30 Chromatography Papers; and 1 - Bag with 6 vials simulated blood, 1 vial Type "A" Antisera, 1 vial Type "B" Antisera, and 6 blood typing trays. A microscope is required, not included.
