Mid-sized axes feature a 2.25 lb. Dayton axe head with a curved hickory handle. Forged tool steel head. Hand sharpened, tapered bit for cutting and light splitting. Axe head is hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with a traditional double wedge system. Made in USA.

If you're looking for the best axe that's made in the USA, then look no further. Council Tool is the shiz. This is the second CT Boys Axe I've bought. I also have a 3.5# 32" Jersey Classic and a Flying Fox hatchet. Their steel and heat treatment are second to none and the hickory hafts grade AA. Compared to my Hults Bruk Torneo that cost twice the price the Council Tool Boys Axe reigns superior. Rooster has a great thing going on. If you haven't experienced using one and you're wanting an incredible axe, buy one; you won't be disappointed. I'm stoked on Council Tool.
What a fantastic value. Everything about this product screams good quality. Not that I specified, but Forestry Suppliers made sure I got one with perfect handle grain orientation. I've only been using it for about 6 months, but so far I'm real glad I got it.
