Weaver Arborist Rope and Cambium Saver
Provides a dependable way to protect both climbing rope and tree bark from damage! The leather is formed, sewn, and riveted into a tube shape which allows rope to be easily fed through the channel. Simple to remove, just pull on the end of your rope to bring the device down from the tree. Accommodates 1/2˝ to 9/16˝ or 11mm ropes.

I have used a device like this for many years. It is very useful in manipulating the rope into position from the ground; one can use it like a whip to run a loop of rope up into the tree and it can be useful in retrieving a thrown knot from a distance, using the helical retrieval method. Still the best and easiest to use cambium saver.
