I am in LOVE with these Coaxsher LL Women’s Wildland Fire Pants! They have a lower rise, so there is not all the extra fabric for those of us that don't want to wear our greens up around our bra line. They fit like other cargo pants I have, so I actually don't mind wearing them. Other brands have so much extra fabric in the hips or rise. I have an athletic build, 5'8" 170 pounds and the mediums fit great. I ordered two more pair! My TN pair sit on the shelf now.
I bought two pairs of these fire pants and I love them! Through thick brush, poison oak, tall grasslands, countless stickers and weed heads; I've been protected and comfortable. I love the velcro tabs on the waist to tighten them even more. I have never had to readjust my pants and that's really nice.
I purchased a pair of these fire pants before and absolutely loved them. I ordered this second pair and was so disappointed with what I received. First, the pants were really really thin, which does nothing to help when pushing through brush and briars in Florida ecosystems. But the worst thing was the stitching used some kind of plastic monofilament and it pokes you all over the place. I tried trimming the ends to minimize the poking, but it doesn't help. I can only wear these during winter burns when I can wear some kind of leggings under it, otherwise it just drives me crazy all day with the poking. I would NOT recommend this particular model from this company. If you can find the other style (Forestry Suppliers Item number 25785) they were great and I highly recommend those, provided they haven't switched to the monofilament stitching. These are awful.
