ColdTrailer HotSpot Finder
This conduction-based heat-sensing probe allows you to cold trail without bending down or crawling to feel through ash by hand. Unlike infrared devices that only sense the surface temperature, the ColdTrailer can reach deep into ash to pinpoint hotspots that could potentially rekindle an otherwise contained fire. A combination of visual, audible, and vibration alarms alert you when hotspots are found. Simply insert the probe into suspect locations or sweep the probe tip through ash beds to locate hotspots. With its extended reach, the ColdTrailer easily accesses root holes and brush, and the long handle and forearm strap ensure excellent leverage. The pole sections lock together with a Kevlar cord, and the aluminum pole collapses down to fit in your fire pack. The ColdTrailer is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, and a USB charging cable is included. Three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
