Designed for grades 4 through 8, the Topsoil Tour Kit allows students to investigate soil pH and nutrient levels in their own soil! Each student conducts his own test using simple reagent tablets individually sealed in foil strips. The curriculum materials provide the instructor with easily understood concepts of good and poor soil quality and plant requirements. Each unit includes complete lecture materials, illustrated hand-outs, teacher tips, test procedures, games to reinforce key concepts, and tablets and sample bags for 50 students to test their own soil sample.
