What part opens up so that you can pour in the herbicide?
The square part on the bottom end twists off. Be sure to wear gloves when handling herbicide. Some people assume it's the top cap, but it's not. You can also watch the video included on this page that illustrates pouring in the herbicide.

Makes clearing around new trees an easy chore. Easy to use and durable

I’ve used used an identical version by a different company for over 25 years. I use a 50/50 mix of Generic Roundup and get outstanding results. I’m glad Forestry Suppliers is now stocking it. Be sure to get an extra pad when you purchase, since they do wear out.

l have used this product successfully to do basal bark treatments on seedlings up to about 2 inches in diameter for Chinese Tallow Trees aka "Popcorn Trees" in my pastures. It may not be the recommended application for this product but even if I only got one use out of it, it would still be worth the cost, even though mine has held up well to it. Fill with your favorite concoction, I prefer diesel mixed with Triclopyr, and paint the stem from the ground up to about 12 inches and then watch them die. You don't waste chemical from overspray like you would doing a basal application with a sprayer. The price is hard to beat and it worked well for me. I'd give it a thumbs up.
