Lil’ Limer

Perfect for use with wildlife food plots, on golf courses, in landscaping applications, or anywhere you need a lightweight machine that won’t damage turf! The Lil’ Limer efficiently applies bulk lime, bagged lime, mixed fertilizers, seed blends, single varieties of seed, and sand for grass turf. The Lil’ Limer can be pulled with an ATV, lawn mower, or small tractor and measures only 6 feet wide. This wheel-driven machine allows you to control how much material to dispense at a time, and the hopper design ensures that material is kept agitated so that it is freely distributed. While moving at a speed of 5 mph with the volume-controlled handle fully open, the Lil’ Limer dispenses 2 tons of lime per acre. This low maintenance machine features a fiberglass hopper and powder-coated metal parts. Capacity: Approximately 1,500 lbs. Dimensions: 6’W x 43.5”H.

Note: A sifting screen and top dressing attachment are available by special order. Call for details.

I have owned a Lil' Limer for seven years now. I pull it with my four wheeler to put out lime in food plots every year. It is very simple to use and a very well made piece of equipment. Money well spent!

I agree 100% with the previous review. The drive tab weld broke off of the hub. I have no idea how it lasted a few hours because the weld did not penetrate the pipe at all. Once it broke you couldn't even tell there was a weld and there was paint under the weld. Also the tine might work well if your lime pile is in the Sahara desert but if it has any moisture at all it will come out very slowly if at all. With all of that being said I have moved over 20 tons with it. Reweld the drive tab,

The Limer has a breakaway pin which is the weak point per manufacturer to save more valuable parts. This broke on one of the first hoppers. Since it is a weak point, common sense says you should have been given spares. I lost time and money coming up with a way to "rig" it to work. When I called manufacturer he said a rock must have caused it. I emptied the hopper with a shovel except for the bottom 3-5 inches which had powdered lime in it. I ran it with the holes open until all the lime came out. There was no rock in the bottom of the hopper. A good welder looked at the broken piece and said it was shabby welding. Another problem I had is that the agaitator doesn't break up the small clods that are normal with agricultural ground limestone in our area. I had to take a pocket knife and stick up in the hole from the bottom and cut the clods apart about 2-5 times per hopper load. It looks like the agitator could have been designed to at least break up small lime clods.
