Collecting and studying soil samples has never been easier! Take a temperature reading with the soil thermometer and a soil sample with the soil probe. Determine soil color and nomenclature with the soil color chart, soil texture with the texture kit, soil grain size with the sieve shaker and soil nutrient levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Use the pH strips to determine soil pH. Store and label the samples in the soil sample bags for future reference. Lesson plans correlated with National Science Education Standards are included.
