Comments:	The Gerber cutter is just what you need for long hikes into 89% land cover of Huckleberry brush, the tool is light weight easy to access with the sheath strapped to your backpack. We hope to make it standard issue for the Wildlife crew.

Comments:	The Gerber Brush Cutter works very well as advertised. It slices through finger size branches with a single swing. Thick blackberry canes can be cut with a light tap of the blade. If you need to do rough clearing of a foot trail through thick beech brush or other woody undergrowth, this is a great tool for the job. The hook on the blade design allows you to cut branches in tight spots - unlike a long machete. When cutting a stem off near the ground, the hook prevents you from hitting the cutting blade in the dirt. The hook also puts some weight near the end of the blade to increase its cutting efficiency. It is light in weight so its not a burden to carry and will fit in a field vest, or you can carry it in its sheath on your belt.
