I\'ve had 4 of these gauges over a span of 7 and a half years and 3 of them recorded accurately (agreed with my 2 manual gauges) and one did not agree with my manual gauges. They do have a limited life span - my fourth gauge has stopped transmitting from the rain gauge to the display. This one has been in service for about two years. The average life span is about 3 years. The first one quit working after I hit the re-set button on the back (when I called Tech Support they said the re-set button should not be used - so why have it ?? But they did send a replacement unit at no cost). The second and third ones quit transmitting. I like the memory that stores up to 9 days of rain fall data - handy if you need to be out of town and the total accumulated to date allows you to track the total rainfall for the period you are away if it exceeds 9 days - you just won\'t have the day-to-day totals except for the last 9 days.
