Windproof and brush resistant, but not 100% waterproof or breathable. So far so good with burrs, black locust trees, and branches, in general. Not breathable all. Get condensation all over the inside to varying degrees depending on the outdoor temperature and work load, so that the jacket has to be wiped and turned inside out to dry. Same goes for the matching bibs, to be reviewed separately. Only Velcro at the sleeves, which could become an issue down the line. Only partially waterproof. I was out once in light rain and again in snow, and the sleeves and shoulders soaked through. To its credit, the hood did not. Size-wise, I am 6"2"/170, and while the medium is too big in the chest, it allows me to layer underneath as I choose in colder weather. Sleeve length is perfect. Otherwise, jacket is made well and blocks the wind efficiently, so not a total loss.

I purchased this coat about two months ago from FS. Its resistance to small briars is impressive, but larger thorns like Greenbrier and M. Rose penetrate it easily. However, the nylon sort of closes back over the holes. I have experienced heavy condensation in the arms, as there is not much breathability in them. The torso has mesh on the interior to minimize that issue. I was disappointed that there are NO STORMCUFFS, only Velcro at the cuff. But overall I am pleased with the quality and ruggedness, which surpasses my previous Gore-Tex coat.
