7/6/2011 - Last week I was bitten by a rattlesnake in my garden. Within 3 minutes my husband had the extractor on my leg. After 3 extractions, he had collected a significant amount of venom from the site. When the rescue squad arrived they were amazed at how good my leg looked and my vitals were all stable. Hospital is 30 min. away and the ER staff also surpised at the good condition of the site. They felt the etractor probably saved my leg and possibly my life. Would NEVER be without this product.

The Sawyer Extractor has to be the best tool for bites/stings on the market. I have used one for years as a first aider which has treated over 2000 bee/hornet stings and is still going. Because it pulls the venom out of the hole the insect creates, it limits the amount of exposure after a bite. I have recommended this kit for years.
