I am an ornithologist with a BS in Science from NDSU. I have used many field guides over the years and the Sibley Guides are, in my opinion, the best reference and identification publications on the market. They are comprehensive and give complete information on each species. Identifications are made easier by having at ones finger tips information such as detailed and a accurate color patterns including juvenile and gender markings, things to look for such as color of tarsus (legs) and wing bars, length and height, pictures of the bird in flight and regions where each species can be found. I highly recommend this guide to anyone interested in identifying birds. Tom Clement Hazen, ND
